Verification and Credit Checks
By signing, you agree that, as part of our standard lending policy, Berkeley Credit Limited may carry out verification and credit checks on your application. This includes searching records held by credit reference and fraud prevention agencies. These agencies supply credit and electoral roll information, help verify your identity, and will record details of our searches whether or not your application proceeds. You also agree that we may record your details with, and share them with, fraud prevention agencies.
Fraud Prevention and Information Sharing
By signing, you acknowledge and agree that if you provide false or misleading information and fraud is identified, we will pass the relevant details to fraud prevention agencies, and that law enforcement agencies may access and use this information. You further agree that we and other organisations may access and use information recorded by fraud prevention agencies — including agencies based in other countries — to prevent fraud and money laundering, including (but not limited to) when:
- reviewing applications for credit or credit-related facilities;
- managing credit accounts or related services;
- recovering outstanding debts;
- assessing proposals and claims for insurance; and
- carrying out background checks on job applicants and employees.
You also agree that we may check details of similar applications you have made to other lenders and, where fraud is suspected, share relevant details with those lenders.

If you have any questions about how your information is used or stored, or would like details of the fraud prevention agencies we use, please contact us at info@berkeleycredit.co.uk. On request, you may obtain a copy of the information we hold about you, subject to a small administrative fee.
Declaration and Consent
I/we, the undersigned, confirm that the answers given in this application form are true and complete to the best of my/our knowledge and belief. I/we understand and agree that:
- Berkeley Credit Limited will rely on this information, and it may form the basis of any contract between me/us and Berkeley Credit Limited;
- by signing below, I/we consent to the verification, credit checks and information sharing described above; and
- the broker or introducer named in this application form is authorised to act on my/our behalf and may access my/our information at any time during the life of the loan.
Signing this form constitutes my/our agreement to all of the above.
